Texas oil production peaked in 1972
offshore drilling and fracking have not surpassed this peak (yet?)
initial fracking fields in Texas have peaked: Barnett for gas (near Fort Worth) and Eagle Ford for oil (south of San Antonio). West Texas fields in the Permian Basin may be the last chapter in the fracking bubble.
